World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points, and then add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a single unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
upgrade item to weapons will also change the stats of the base. While this is generally a good thing however, it could have negative effects as well. Upgrades can make items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their stats. This can boost the base defense of a helm or chest, while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may reduce its value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain after upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will hit 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu, using the circling arrows. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense your character has the more value you will get from every point of health you have and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few of your friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to focus on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also get some advantages to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some upgrades to your helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give the player with a temporary effect. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. In addition the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change the name of the potion.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanism of potions. For instance splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The table of potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. The same is true for using a potion within a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Similar to lingering potions, the' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including potion of leaping, potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant, such as a trinket. In some traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their status.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens, or fragments from rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are no longer needed which allows a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm, and shoulders.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful, and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than buying the new one.
